Participants wishing to present at the congress are invited to submit a 300-word abstract relating to the congress themes, which must be directed to the conference organiser.

First announcement and call for papers

The International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) stimulates and facilitates international cooperation and information exchange in building and construction research and innovation, technology development and documentation. It is engaged in the scientific, technical, economic and social domains related to building and construction, supporting improvements in the building process and the performance of the built environment.

CIB 2007 will build on the tradition of the triennial congress as the major platform for the presentation and exchange of research and information amongst its members and the industry.

The theme of this congress is Construction for Development, focusing on the important role that construction plays in the development of nations.

Objectives

This event will provide an opportunity for knowledge-sharing between academia, R&D organisations and industry on a wide range of issues relevant to construction and development.

This congress is structured around the activities of the CIB commissions and priority themes include:

  • Sustainable Construction
  • Revaluing Construction
  • The CIB's new priority theme, Integrated Design Solutions

Papers are invited in the following streams:
